coreServiceShell.exe high cpu when opening devices and printers
hi all,
when I open devices and printers it seems to take an age to display the contents. I have noticed coreServiceShell.exe is hammering the CPU and even memory.
also have a thread in the Trend forums as this seems to stop when Trend is not running. I have re posted here as im not 100% certain it is Trend at fault. I really don't know what is at fault to be honest.
Has anyone ever seen this before?
Thanks

Hi,
It seems this is caused by software conflicts, I suggest you try to test in clean boot mode to see if this issue happens, if not, you could follow the steps to determine what is causing the problem:
How to perform a clean boot to troubleshoot a problem in Windows Vista or Windows 7

this turned out to be an issue with Trend - updates services and pst file scanning needed to be excluded from the console - this then resolved the speed issue opening devices and printers
