deleted viruses
by my antivirus I found that there are viruses my computer, I quickly deleted the virus. My question: I deleted virus still remained on my computer and it did break my computer?

Hi, Additionally, many viruses infect restore points. In order to clear the infected files permanently, we should clear the restore points. Please use the steps below to do so: 1. Click "Start, input "SYSDM.CPL" (without quotation marks) and press "Enter". 2. On the "System Protection" tab, click to turn off System Restore on all drives, and click "OK". 3. Please repeat the above steps to enable System Restore again. This is suggesiton only when the virus re-appear again and again. To be sure that your computer is clean you can also try to run the Microsoft online scan http://onecare.live.com/site/en-us/ Step1: Boot your computer in “Safemode with Networking ”. Check the link below for instructions to boot in “SafeMode withNetworking ”. http://www.microsoft.com/resources/documentation/windows/xp/all/proddocs/en-us/boot_failsafe.mspx?mfr=true Step2: Once the computer is in Safemode with Networking open the Internet Explorer and go toWindows Live OneCare Safety Scanner web site . 1. Proceed tohttp://onecare.live.com/site/en-us/default.htm (http://onecare.live.com/site/en-us/default.htm) then click on the blue button "Full Service Scan". 2. Click “Accept” on the Service Agreement.” 3. Click "Install Now" button. NOTE: If installation is unsuccessful, click on the Information Bar below the address bar then click "Install ActiveX Control" 4. When a Security Warning dialog box appears, asking you if you want to install the Windows Live Safety Center Component scanner, please click “Install”. 5. Click on "Launch Scanner" button. 6. A secondary window pane opens up titled Full Service Scan. NOTE: if a new windows pane does not appear then Turn OFF the Popup Blocker temporarily & proceed. a. Click on “Next” to proceed with the complete scan. b. A progress bar will appear showing the status of the scanning tools while it’s downloading. c.
