enable administrator in the installation DVD
curious on how to enable the administrator account besides being in Windows. Reason for this is simply forgot password, to the only account on the machine. Passwords tools for some reason not detecting the installation but does on the other machines (repair store - this is a customer PC and did get the ok for format & reload). But, even tho, the problem of it not deteching the HDD/SSD not the point, just curious if there another way to do this. I understand by security reasons it may not be in the installation disk and people should be more carful with there accounts and passwords, but cause of them we make money. admit it, we do. -Joshua Mason, PC tech

Not much that can be done, unless you have the PW you will need to start over. Best is to make sure you have the PW well memorized. Vote if answered or helpful, I am running for Office (joke)! You can boot in Safe Mode. The build-in Administrator account will be enabled in Safe Mode. Log in with it and change the password for your own account.Arthur Xie - MSFT
