error 1327 invalid drive z
I'm running Windows 7 with my documents, desktop and favorites mapping to a network shared drive (Z). When I try installing an application (Adobe Acorbat), I get the following error message: error 1327 invalid drive z. I know I can login
as a local admin and it works fine, the problem is, that the user I give this to won't be able to do that. How do I configure this so that the user doesn't have to login as localadmin to install a program, and still keep the documents, favorites and
desktop pointing to the network share? This doesn't seem to be a problem in XP.

Thanks for getting back to me. I have tried this solution already. I didn't work for me. Can you think of anything else for me to try?

How do you map the drive? If you used startup scripts, the drives are mapped with admin token and standard accesses cannot reach it.
You may try to manaully map the drive, or map it with the applaunch.wsf mentioned in the following article.
