error code - 0x80070005
i accidentally click on something else, on security and permission, and because of that i can no longer access my other application.. error code 0x80070005 - access denied appeared. how can i get back to it's previous settings and access the said applications?

Sir, Right click on Application then select " Run As Administrator " if your user not administrator you can Add it to Administrator Group. by Right click on computer ---> Manage --> System tools --> Local Users and Groups --> Groups --> Administrator --> add your user --> ok Regards, MCP | MCTS | MCITP

Thanks Las but still some problem occurs as: in- Right click on Application then select " Run As Administrator result: Windows cannot access C:\windows\ehome\ehshell.exe in- if your user not administrator you can Add it to Administrator Group. by Right click on computer ---> Manage --> System tools --> Local Users and Groups --> Groups --> Administrator --> add your user --> ok tried to click troubleshoot... - result : An error occured while troubleshooting! - A problem is preventing the troubleshooter from starting. 0x80070005 - Resolution Suggestion: In most cases you can resolve this error by doing the following: Step 1 Open up your browser and download the Microsoft Genuine Advantage Diagnostic Tool - HERE to your desktop. Step 2 Simply double click the file and hit the "continue" button. The tool will now run a diagnostic and hopefully automatically fix the issue on your PC. Step 3 When finished you should see an entry: Validation Status: Genuine Now REBOOT your PC and try Windows Updates again... Step 4 Another quick way that has been reported to fix this issue is to visit the online validation too: http://www.microsoft.com/genuine/def...displaylang=en ...and that should have now resolved the 0x80070005 error for you! Hi, I suspect that you have changed the permission of this folder my mistake. First I would like to assist you to check the permission. Please use Icacls command to export the permission of this folder then post the result here. 1. Run Command Prompt as administrator. 2. Type “icacls d:/foldername” in Prompt window.(“ d:/foldername” mean the path of the folder, please rewrite it appropriately) Or, you could capture a screenshot on folder properties instead of command: 1. Right click the folder, chose Properties. 2. Select Security tag, then click Advance button. 3. Take a screenshot and post here. I would check the result, then assist you to troubleshot this problem. If you any progress or further question, you also could post here.
