Adobe update:unable to install update as error 1500 shown on screen, have tried the adobe repair to no avail . 2 people need an answerI do too

There appears to be a problem with the lastest adobe reader, and once you attempt to intstall the update error 1500 will continue to show. I was forced to uninstall adobe reader and install an earlier version of adobe 8 just to get it to work again. Now I'm using Foxit Reader until adobe programmers figure out the glitch that they've caused with this update. My adobe reader worked just fine until I attempted to update it. I hope this helps.
