I still cant get into my control panel or computer files. Why are you posting in the IE forum? Perhaps the reason you are trying to use the CP is to get into Internet Options? If so, you can do that without using Windows Explorer (at least on your OS) by starting (using Task Manager if necessary): control.exe inetcpl.cplOtherwise what your problem probably means is that you have added something new to the Control Panel root which is incompatible with your OS and thus causing Windows Explorer (not IE) to crash. In that case, similarly you could get into Add Remove Programs without involving Windows Explorer by starting: control.exe appwiz.cplYou may get more informed help by posting to a forum which specializes in Performance and Maintenance for your OS.Good luckRobert Aldwinckle---
