everything but Wireless LAN adapter says media disconnected
Hi, I'm at a loss. I'm trying to figure out why my computer is saying this. I do know that our ethernet connection is messed up in our main computer so we are only using our wireless connection on our laptops, our desktop computer is not connected. I'm not sure if I did something when I was trying to change the name of my network because when I was connecting to a network I would see the following: linksys linksys 2 linksys 23 I was confused if those were all mine or if several people in my neighborhood had a linksys unsecured network. (I re-named it, added a password, and was able to connect but in the network center there is now a red "x" next to all of the linksys networks. OK that being said (which I still don't understand what happened anyway-so if you want to add an explanation about why I'm getting the red x's and if those are other people and not me, I'd appriciate it). Could the fact that my desktop is not connected be why I'm getting these settings?
