My laptop has windows 8.1 installed on it, and when i signed in for one of the first times i set up face ID, well it rarely recognizes me and i wanna remove the feature all together, but no matter where i search i cant find it. could someone tell me where in settings i go to either change the photo so it at least works, or to remove facial recognition altogether?

Do mean that you want to disable facial recognition in the Windows log on?

Please go to Control Panel\Programs\Programs and Features, and check if there are facial recognition related program.
If yes, uninstall it.
Additionally, if the facial recognition is pre-installed. We could contact the manufacturer for help.

There is no Facial Recognized features in Windows 8.1 out of the box, it is probably a software provided by your software manufacturer. You could either uninstall it or search for software related to login or credentials and under setting , there could be an option to disable it.
