file transfer problem to solve
we have sites remotely located around the globe...the problem is how to make uploading files to a central site as painless as possible. the technical issue is network latency to be overcome and to allow a user to do the upload asyncronously so they do not tie up their PC whilst a 100 mb file loads in from a remote site in say, Africa. functionally, this might be a drag/drop to a folder with s/w to copy the file to a specific server location in the US and then signal 1 or more users when it is done. we would like to do this using existing MS tools if possible so as to avoid writing custom code. any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated!
