First, I have no idea how to help you. But I'm curious (and it would probably help those who DO know how to work this out): What method did you use to compress the drive? I have a feeling you at least didn't use WinRAR with 'Remove files after compression' checked. Right-click->Properties->[Something-or-other]->Compress drive to save space?

Hi, How did you compress your hard drive? Right click drive ---properties---check ‘compress this drive to save disk space’? Meanwhile, please also let me know the detail error message you received. You can try startup repair to see if it works: Startup Repair: frequently asked questions Note: Startup Repair cannot fix the hardware failure. Hope it helps. Regards, Alex Zhao
