having issues changing networks
I go from my home wireless network tomy work wired networkon my laptop (sony fw190) and once i get a DHCP address at my work site it failsto be able to actually rout any packets off the system. it gets a real IP fromthe DHCP server but i can't ping anything, not even theDHCP server... If i restart the system it works perfectly. And once i go home to my wireless it switches over to that seamlessly. It is as if the systemdoes not know it needs to start using thewired connection. Any help?

From an elevated prompt, try the commands 'ipconfig /release', then 'ipconfig /renew', then'ipconfig /release6', then 'ipconfig /renew6', (rightclick a Command Prompt icon, then 'run as administrator')Rating posts helps other users Mark L. Ferguson MS-MVP
