help with admin password.
Ok, heres my problem with one seems to understand. i have an old computer(windows xp 2000 PROFESSIONAL). i got from my aunts ex-husband. he died so we went over there and took the stuff because in his will said she can. so we go over and i see these two computers. my aunt take the big huge tower looking one and i get the small one. when i turned on the small one i relized that it was a slave to the big one so it kept crashing because it didnt know to run on its own. so after awhile it wouldnt get out of the startup screen beause it said it was missing a file. i load the fail safe thing on it and it works. but theirs only A administrator account on it. now it shows only this(look at picture). is there a way to bypass or reset this password so i can use this computer again? ALSO, this is a windows xp pro.

Already asked and answered in another thread: http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/xpsecurity/thread/09dfffe3-8327-40ee-ae50-09e543773d5a In any case, best practice with a used computer, no matter its provenance, is to do a clean install of Windows. This makes knowing the Administrator password unnecessary. http://michaelstevenstech.com/cleanxpinstall.html - Clean Install How-To http://www.elephantboycomputers.com/page2.html#Reinstalling_Windows - What you will need on-hand MS-MVP - Elephant Boy Computers - Don't Panic!

uhm btw, it is not already asked and answerd in another thread because in that thread he says he has other accounts where you cant see the picture only shows one and that is the full on admin. its not created , thats is the computers administrator account. usually they dont have passwords, unfortunately this one does. and it seems out of THE WHOLE WORLD, no one else has had this problem because if their were more i would have already found the solution and i wouldnt be on my new computer still looking for the answer to my problem. but the clean install, wont work because i dont have any other boot cd for my system nor do i have the product key. so now how do you think i can crack the password without anything but blank cd's and new computer for internet use?
