Depending on the make/model of your hardware, and, the software/drivers currently installed, the steps will vary.
Some laptops, have a hardware button to enable/disable the touchpad.
Some laptops, use a key-combination (e.g. FN + F7).
Some laptops, you will need to open;
Control Panel -> Hardware & Sound
In the displayed window, in the section named; Device & Printers, should be an item named "Mouse".
There should be touchpad enable/disable settings in there for you.
(sorry, but the steps vary a lot, based on the hardware/drivers combination)
Your laptop may have some helper functions, described in the manufacturer manual/user guide.
[e.g. the steps are different, between my Toshiba laptop, my Lenovo laptop, and my Acer laptop]
Hi,
If you cannot disable the touchpad,please let us know detail model for your laptop.
Don is right.
Generally speaking,we need to install a software from manufacturer.And then,we can disable this feature by this software.
