Hi, I am a newbie myself and understand the confusion you feel about this. You should use "run as administrator" (available by right click). Though normally the system is smart enought to ask for your administrator credentials when needed. That is the catch with new Windows 7 system. It even does this when you run as an administrator (but does not ask you for credentials, just warns and asks for premission to run a program). Best, Zoran

Let you user member of local admin group so that he will be admin on the computer. Once done, you may need to use elevated prompt to perform administrative tasks. In this case, use run as an administator. You can also disable UAC to avoid that but it is not recommanded for security reasons.
