My computer was left logged on for a good few hours and when i went back to it, i was asked for a password as need to 'log in to windows' my username was prefilled but i am unsure of the password. I have tried shutting down and rebooting but unable to get past this 'log in to windows' page.How do i find out my password ??1 person needs an answerI do too

Hi Aj1999, You may try to check if you have any other user account on the computer and try to log into that account and modify the password of your user account. If you do not have any other user account on the computer, you may try to boot the computer in safe mode and access the Built in Administrator account and try to change the password of your account from the Administrator account.To boot to safe mode, restart the computer and keep tapping F8 key during restart. Once you see the option to boot insafe mode, select it and press enter. Once you are in Safe mode, access the Administrator account and try to reset the password for your account. I don't have an explanation for it, but the situation has always been cured (when I've seen it) by a reboot.The following may help:Shut down the computer. Wait a couple of minutes. Power it up and repeatedly tap the F8 key. When the Advanced Boot Options Menu appears, use the up/down arrows to select Last Known Good Configuration and press Enter.
