install Netgear WG311T wireless adapter on XP Home
I'm trying to configure a Netgear WG311T PCI wireless adapter on an installation of XP Home for my neighbor. He doesn't have an installation CD for the adapter. The device manager shows an unidentified adapter in the PCI slot, so I'm assuming there isn't a driver entry that's native to XP Home. I've installed the configuration utility that I downloaded from the Netgear site, but it doesn't run.Do I need a *.inf file for the adapter? I can't find any mention of that on the Netgear site.Thank-you,Carl1 person needs an answerI do too

Install the drivers first BEFORE inserting the card. Drivers are here: http://kb.netgear.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/747Brian Tillman [MVP-Outlook]--------------------------------https://mvp.support.microsoft.com/profile/Brian.TillmanIf a reply helps, please vote it as helpful. I've downloaded that software and gone through that procedure several times. The PCI device is still unidentified, and the setup wizard doesn't start when I reboot the machine after installing the card. The configuration utility doesn't start when I select it from the Start menu or try to run it from the desktop icon.
