internet connection stops when high speeds are reached in win 7
since ive used windows 7 ive had problems with downloading at good speeds,problem is intermittent,can be fine for ages then starts up again,if i download a file and get a good speed it then starts dropping back down to nothing then the taskbar icon displays no net connection,i check device manager network adaptors) which tells me alls fine,i try the windows network diagnostic to tell me cant fix problem and that its a cable/modem/router problem which i dam well no its not as lappy still works flawlessly on win 7 at same time.i reboot me pc and net connection is back,i try download again and it either works or does same thing.i'm running windows 7 build 6.1.7600 x64 home premium on an XFX 780i mobo,ive tried different nforce drivers to find slightly older give very bad erratic internet behavior on network card,version at moment is latest = 15.51.any help very appreciated

I am getting the same problem, any help isappreciated. Running an EVGA 680i Mobo, Windows 7 build 7600.

Edit:Never mind, I believe I just fixed it.Ganjamanyeah, try going to Control Panel -> Hardware and Sound -> Device Manager -> Click on Network Adapters dropdown -> Right-Click on the device(s), go to driver, and click 'Update Driver.' This worked for me, maybe it will for you too.

Yes, you need to update the network card driver for Windows 7 64-bit first. If Windows Update cannot find the driver update for your network card, you need to update the driver from the manufacturers website manually. In addition, you may also reset the router and update the firmware for your router to check the issue. Good luck!Arthur Li - MSFT
