Hi,1. Which version of internet explorer is installed on your computer?2. Did you make any software changes to the computer?Note: Method 1 and 2 are applicable if you are using Internet Explorer 7 or later.Method 1. I would ask you to remove all the toolbars and add-ons and check.a. To add or remove Add-ons, click Tools from the Command bar and select Manage Add-ons from the drop-down menu. b. From this menu you can view and manage a list of different Add-on Types you've got installed in the browser.c. To add more, click on the Find more providers... option at the bottom of the window.d. To delete an Add-on, highlight the one you wish to remove and select Remove, or select Disable if you wish to leave it installed but make it inactive.Method 2.Try the methods listed in the article below and check if that helps us in resolving the issue. How to reinstall or repair Internet Explorer in Windows Vista and Windows XPhttp://support.microsoft.com/kb/318378Method 3.Check if the issue exists in Safe Mode with networking, if the computer works as expected in safe mode then we can troubleshoot the issue in clean boot state.a. Refer to the article below for safe mode steps in Windows XPA description of the Safe Mode Boot options in Windows XPhttp://support.microsoft.com/kb/315222b. You are required to perform a clean boot to find the program that is causing this and then disable or remove it.How to configure Windows XP to start in a "clean boot" statehttp://support.microsoft.com/kb/310353/en-usNote: After you have finished troubleshooting, follow the steps as explained in the article to reset the computer to start as usual.
