kb974455 keeps installing on my xp home pc. When it is present, IE7 will not work. I will get the message 'you are not connected to the internet'. Once I uninstall it, IE works fine again. All the time, email in outlook express works properly.Sorry, I think the message is 'webpage cannot be displayed'.After posting this, I finally got some results from search - I did search before posting but I must have done something wrong. Seems that several other people are getting same/similar problems with this patch. I'll just keep uninstalling it till I see a resolution. 5 people need an answerI do too

Hmmm... I've installed this update and my IE7 has crashed every time it starts ^^ Just like with KB972260-IE7 ^^ So I just delete them.

there is something wrong with the update since the same thing is happening to me and i'm running IE8 on Windows 7 Home Premium. Microsoft should withdraw that update.
