multiple monitor detection problems
I run two monitors on my Dell M4400 laptop. Last week I was running fine with XP 64 bit. Automatic detection worked perfectly. Now I have installed Windows 7 64 bit and the computer does not detect the 2nd monitor. Is there a way to verify that the monitor is plugged into the video port? It is the same monitor as last week....

Hi Bill, First, I would like to tell you that the mornitors are controlled by graphic card driver. As you just installed the 64-bit WIn7, it's better to update the drivers for your laptop, espically for the video driver, you can get the latest version from the following web site:http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/driverslist.aspx?os=W764&catid=-1&dateid=-1&impid=-1&osl=EN&typeid=-1&formatid=-1&servicetag=&SystemID=PREC_M4400&hidos=WLH&hidlang=en&TabIndex=&scanSupported=True&scanConsent=FalseAfter updating the drivers, you can test your issue again.Good luck!John
