need to change default access to wireless card
working on a friend's HP pavilion dv8000 running Windows XP. It won't connect to a wireless network. I opened the view available networks dialog and it says windows cannot configure this wireless connection. I know my dell laptop used an in house wireless manager which I disabled so I could use Windows, but I can't find a similar program to disable on this HP. Is there any other way to give control back to windows?1 person needs an answerI do too

Whether Windows or a vendor-supplied wireless control utility is used, the ability to view and connect to detectable wireless networks should be available. There shouldn't be a need to disable the HP wireless utility so that Windows can control the wireless device.Brian Tillman [MVP-Outlook]
