Although i can access any computers har drive on the network through \\computer name\c$ i cannot access an external hard drive in the same way. It just gives an error of: "A device attached to the system is not functioning" Any help would be greatly appreciates. Here are some specs etc that may help. Attached to workgroup with 15 other computers. Domain has 1200 computers. Can access them without problem and can see them. Network discovery on and file sharing on. 2 gb ram 2.00ghz core 2 duo processor. 128mb ati graphics xard x1370 (or something like that) running vista ultimate. thanks
