Hi, Before moving on, could you please confirm the following points? Thanks. 1. If you go to other computers and then uses the same user account to access the same network resource (on \\10.0.1.15), how it works? If the same problem occurs on every computer, please let us know more information of \\10.0.1.15. For example, OS version, network location and so on. 2. On the same computer, can you use other user credentials to access other network resources on computers other than \\10.0.1.15? 3. Please ping 10.0.1.15 and check how it works. 4. Ensure firewall is disable. 5. Ensure the user account has the following permissions: 1) NTFS permission. 2) Share permission. 3) On the \\10.0.1.15 computer, check its "Access this computer from the network" and "Deny access to this computer from the network" policies to ensure that the user account can access it. Hope it helps.

let me confirm first, i have the same account for which i am using to access that drive( basically network drive), suddenly it shows one day that i have no access to that network resource. 1) i can access all other computer systems with ease. 2) no, i am using default administrator account. 3)the result is as below!!!!!!!!!! Pinging 10.0.1.15 with 32 bytes of data:Reply from 10.0.1.15: bytes=32 time=1ms TTL=64Reply from 10.0.1.15: bytes=32 time<1ms TTL=64Reply from 10.0.1.15: bytes=32 time<1ms TTL=64 Ping statistics for 10.0.1.15: Packets: Sent = 3, Received = 3, Lost = 0 (0% loss) 4) i have checked, enable/disable doenst effect any thing in my case 5) i need some more explanation for this point. as this is my network drive, so i think i have all permissions. one more thing, i have another boot os in same computer, when i connect through XP, it works fine. hope you can just figure it out for me : ) thanks

thanks for your suggestions. i have tried your suggestion # 1 first in LSA, there isnt any binary key with the name DisableLoopbackCheck, so i have created one and set its value to 1. after restarting, when i ping , result is as below: ping 10.0.1.15 Pinging 10.0.1.15 with 32 bytes of data:Reply from 10.0.1.11: Destination host unreachable.Reply from 10.0.1.11: Destination host unreachable. Ping statistics for 10.0.1.15: Packets: Sent = 2, Received = 2, Lost = 0 (0% loss), your 2nd suggestion, i will try it and reply you after wards. thanks

regarding your 2nd suggestion, the result is same, i cant access but can ping the target ip. 1 more thing. \\10.0.1.15( network drive ) is on a router which ip is 10.0.1.9, and i can ping it and can do any thing. but why i cant access, its melting my brain. I THINK ITS DUE TO SOME RECENT UPDATES WHICH I HAVE DOWNLOAD FROM MICROSOFTLAST FEW DAYS BEFORE FOR VISTA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OTHER THAN THAT, I DIDNT DO ANY IRREGULAR WORK WHICH DISTURB MY NETWORK SETTINGS OR REDUCE MY CAPABILITY TO BROWSE NETWORK. I HAVE HEARDABOUT NETWORK BROWSER SERVICE????? IN MY CASE, DOES IT RELATE TO MY PROBLEM. THANKS FOR YOUR KIND REPLY.

Hi, Thank you for your clarify. First of all, please delete the DisableLoopbackCheck key from registry. Thank you for your cooperation. Given the current situation, please confirm the following point first. Are the computers in the same subnet and workgroup? Then, I suggest enabling Netmon on the computers to capture the network packets. 1) Download NetMon3.2 from the following website and install it on the both computershttp://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=f4db40af-1e08-4a21-a26b-ec2f4dc4190d&DisplayLang=en 2) Log onto the machines, right-click the Netmon icon and select Run as Administrator to launch NetMon3.2.3) In the Microsoft Network Monitor 3.2 window, click Create a new capture tab 4) In the new tab, select all the Network Adapters in the Select Networks window.5) After that, press F10 to start NetMon.Note: Please start NetMon on both machines. 6) Try to re-produce the problem on the computer. 7) Go back to the NetMon window and press F11 to stop the NetMon. 8) Press Ctrl+S to save the Netmon file and upload them to the following space: https://sftus.one.microsoft.com/choosetransfer.aspx?key=a90558fa-faa7-4877-9ea1-66967e4ddf7b Password: 19cvMzOvu2 In addition, please understand that analyze/troubleshoot this kind of issue may be time consuming. If it is urgent, Id like to recommend that you contact Microsoft Customer Support Service for instant assistance. To obtain the phone numbers for specific technology request please take a look at the website listed below:http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=fh;EN-US;PHONENUMBERS Thank you for your cooperation. Hope it helps.
