HiWhat means "is not detecting"?If you mean you cannot see other computers on LAN then set "Turn ON network discovery" from advanced sharing options. You can access advanced sharing options from left pane of "Network and Sharing Center"

It sounds like the driver for your network card didn't get installed. Are there any network adapters in the Device Manager? Kerry Brown MS-MVP - Windows Desktop Experience

You could try loading the Vista driver. You would get it from the web site of the computer manufacturer.Kerry Brown MS-MVP - Windows Desktop Experience

Hi,Thank you for the posts. Please tryKerry's suggestions. Meanwhile, I would like to suggest the following:Update the device driver in Device Manager================================1) Click Start, right click Computer and choose Properties. 2) Click Device Manager. 3) Navigate to your NICs. 4) Right-click on the device and choose Update the driver software. Thenchoose "Search automatically for updated driver software." 5) Please check if it can install the device driver. You can also run Windows Update to check for the updated driver or keep monitoring the manufacture's siteto seeif there are any drivers for Windows 7 released. Hope this helps.Thanks.Nicholas Li - MSFT

I am sorry for the previousbad idea. Please go to the manufacture's site with other computers which can access the internet and check if there are some drivers of you NIC for Windows 7. Meanwhile, you can also let us know the information of your NIC such as the brand, type, etc, andwe may help you check the manufacturers website.Thanks. Nicholas Li - MSFT
