nvidia nforce network adapter - can't connect to network
I just installed Vista HP on a new system with an Asus P5N-E SLI motherboard. I am trying to connect to my network using the onboard nforce ethernet adapter. The first time I fired up Vista, it connected to the network, and Windows downloaded an update. Now it runs in "local only" mode with no connectivity and cannot identify the network (it calls the network "identifying"). It does not matter if I plug into the router (D-Link DI-524) or my DSL modem. I would greatly appreciate any suggestions.

If you look at some previous threads you will notice that this issue has been going on since the initial release of Vista http://forums.microsoft.com/TechNet/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=1958860&SiteID=17 There are numerous possible suggestions but the only reliable solution seems to be to use XP, Apple or Linux. Good Luck!!
