our laptop xp edition has several keys with both letters and numbers...somehow we have done something that allows only the numbers to be typed...ie j,k,l is 1,2,3...what key(s) correct this???

HiLaptops have a capacity to switch part of the keyboard to be used as a numerical pad (good for people that need to input a lot of numerical data).The toggle of this is usually done by pressing the Fn key with one of the functions key (which you probably pressed by mistake).However, each laptop might have it own scheme read the Laptop's manual to find how to switch it back on your Laptop.Jack-MVP Windows Networking.
