can a single folder be password protected in xp?a simple way is to download and install "my lockbox free", create your own password and keep stuff in there.

In some edition of Windows XP you could also consider to encrypt it by right click -> propertise ->advancelook for encryption.It also put additional protection, you also could zip contain of foler with some tools such as WinRAR and then you coul put password on zip file.
