pasting sticky notes onto specific files
Hello, I would like to be able to paste a sticky note onto a specific file. Presently all my sticky notes stay on my desktop only. is there any way to do this? I'm working with Windows 7. Also, I'm wondering why the tranfer rate keeps changing while I'm donloading an mp3 file from the internet via windows media. It starts out with a high tranfer rate and then it keeps going down. Thanks

Hi chayagit, The Sticky Notes' date is saved in this file: C:\Users\{username}\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Sticky Notes\StickyNotes.snt. You can back up this file before doing the Sticky Notes tests. If you would like to save the Sticky Notes to a specific folder, here is a workaround to create a shortcut for searching sticky notes. To do so, please perform the steps below: 1. Right click on the Desktop and then click New -> Shortcut. 2. Copy the following command in the "Type the location of the item" text box: search-ms:displayname=Search%20Results%20in%20Sticky%20Notes%20(Windows%20Sticky%20Notes)&crumb=&crumb=location:C%3A%5CUsers%5CUSER%20NAME%5CSearches%5CSticky%20Notes%20(Windows%20Sticky%20Notes).searchconnector-ms NOTE: Before copying the above command, please first replace the USER%20NAME to your account's name. 3. Click Next. 4. Type a shortcut name and then click Finish. 5. Double click the shortcut to test the result. You will find a query for Sticky Notes. 6. Paste the shortcut to the location you preferred. For more information about Sticky Notes, please refer to: Using Sticky Notes Regarding the MP3 download speed, please post a new thread for further discussion. J Hope this helps.
