pestering wireless notification
How do I disable the "Wireless Network Connection is now connected" notification. The thing pops up at least 60 times a day causing me to have to click on it every time to get it to hide it again. I'm running XP, and I need my wireless to be connected but I hate the distraction of the notification. Can someone please help me? It has popped up 4 times while I wrote this.1 person needs an answerI do too

HiIt is important that the Wireless should be managed only with one application. You can use the Original Utility, or Windows Wireless Zero Configuration (WZC). When one is used the other has to be Off (Not loaded into memory, and not maintained as active Windows service). If you use WZC look at the preferred list and configure it the way you like it.http://www.ezlan.net/wireless/wzc3.jpg Jack - Microsoft MVP, Windows Networking. WWW.EZLAN.NET

Hi There. Thank you for your response. As far as I know I am only using the WZC application. I can't find another wireless utility. Where would I look? I would prefer to use the WCZ but I don't know how to shut off the other.Thanks.

HiLook first at the link that I linked to in my above post.Make sure that it is configured to connect only to your network. In the right panel Uncheck the Auto. connect. In the preferred list (to the left) remove what you do not need, and make ure that your SSID is at the top.
