problem with remote desktop connection, got timeout and remote host locks up
I have two computers both are connected to my corporate network. Both computers have Window XP Professional Version 2002 Service Pack 2 installed. Both computers have set up for remote desktop connection.Computer A is a desktop unit and computer B is a laptop unit. From computer A, I canrun remote desktop to computer B without any issue. When Irun remote desktop from computer B to computer A:- I see the typical login screen- after I type in the username and password, then after about 30 seconds, I got the time out message: "the remote connection has timed out. Please connecting to the remote computer again."- at this point, computer A is lock-up, does not respond to any mouse or keyboard input; the only way to get out is power cycle the unit.I have spent hours on microsoft websitesearching for possible solutions, but can't find any.Based on some of the suggestions, I have disabled "Symantec Endpoint protection" and "Microsoft Office Communicator", but it did not help.Any help is appreciated.3 people need an answerI do too
