Awhile ago, a few of the gret folks here told me to DL the systernals kit to diagnose a few problems. One of those tools, "I thought," was "process monitor," that could be used in place of the task manager.

it had a running list of all programs on my pc that were active. Well in the one I had before there was a way to delay the update so you could see what app was using the cpu at the time. In the current version I can't seem to find where to set it at.

It can be made easier to understand by de-selecting some of the activities. The activities can be toggled on/off by clicking them on the right-hand side of the Toolbar, they are Registry, File, Networking, Processes/Threads and Profiling.

Also, click Autoscroll on the Toolbar to see the current real-time events.

Ah ha, I figured it out. I grabbed the wrong one. I was looking for process explorer, not monitor. I will however look into monitor once I figure out what it polling my new ssd insistantly. Thank you tho for your quick response.
