raw drive access need for virtual box
hopefully this is the right forum for this question. Using virtual box for a VM on a laptop that dual boots into Linux or window 7. What I want to do is share my home partition between the Linux VM when running windows 7 and native Linux. In order to do so, I need access to the raw partition from Windows 7. When I follow the instructions in the virtual box manual, I got the following result: C:\Users\esj>"c:\Program Files\Sun\xVM VirtualBox\VBoxManage.exe" internalcommands listpartitions -rawdisk \\.\PhysicalDrive0 VirtualBox Command Line Management Interface Version 3.0.2 (C) 2005-2009 Sun Microsystems, Inc. All rights reserved. Error opening the raw disk: VERR_ACCESS_DENIED any ideas on how I can access the raw disk for use by the virtual machine?

It seems this can be done using Linux, but not using Windows 7 Ultimate.
