rename or delete lokal printers by standard user
Someemployees
work
in different
locations.
On
these, often temporary sites they connect to different printers.
The
result is that
the
printers have
more
representatives
in their Devices
Printers
screen they
sometimes, just uses once.
For example:
Samsung
Universal print
driver
Samsung
Universal print
driver
(copy
1)
Samsung
Universal print
driver
(copy
2)
Samsung
Universal print
driver
(copy
3)
If
they want to
make
a print,
they must first
figure out
which printer
is
online / is connected.
This is
very inconvenient
and
they call
the
help desk for support. Additionally,
for standard
users the
UAC prevents standard users
to
rename or
delete
printers.
The
result is a
whole list of
unused
printers. Is there a resolution for this with a GPO?

Hi,
Do you want to delete or rename printers locally? If so, as my understanding, you need administrator privilege.
If you want to delete your deployed printers via Group Policy, you could delete the printer via Group Policy Preference.
Meanwhile, you could post to group policy forum for further help:

Good luck.
