k i have vista 64-bit i am getting the 8000ffff error as well i have tried everything, heres the difference i don't have the kb929777 update installed, i cant download it, and i couldn't find anything in the regestry regarding a soulution i am all out of ideas and dont know what to do i was thinking of reinstalling vista but some folks are sayin that that dosent work either its bad b/c i cant update and im prety sure this is preventing me from installing windows live which rely sucks b/c i just bought a game that needs live to install apparently btw i have 2 gigs in my laptop
