searchprotocolhost.exe application error
I am running Windows 7 64-bit with Office Professional Plus 2010 64-bit with the actual Service Packs. I think since I have updated to Office SP1, I have the following error: Faulting application name: SearchProtocolHost.exe, version: 7.0.7601.17610, time stamp: 0x4dc0d006 Faulting module name: unknown, version: 0.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x00000000 Exception code: 0xc0000005 Fault offset: 0x0000000000000000 Faulting process id: 0x10a0 Faulting application start time: 0x01cc4540bd81f34d Faulting application path: C:\Windows\system32\SearchProtocolHost.exe Faulting module path: unknown Report Id: fb7582f0-b133-11e0-ab13-b975e6587fc2 How can I fix this error without stopping the service, because I'd like to use the search feature. Hi, First, please check if the issue persists in Clean Boot. What about to reboot the computer to check this issue? Also, please perform system restore to test if the SearchProtocolHost.exe is still crashing.
