sending attachments by email
When I try to add an attachment (usually a photo) to an email it is deleted as a security risk to my PC and not sent. As this attachment is of my own making (scan) and comes from my PC, why is this a security risk and how can I solve this problem.Alex R1 person needs an answerI do too

This is caused by a feature in Outlook Express, which allows for the blocking of attachments considered as unsafe. In Outlook 6.0 it was turned off by default but in SP1 it is enabled by default. To enable or disable this feature go to the Tools > Options > Security tab and check oruncheck the box. Do not allow attachments to be saved or opened that could potentially be a virusAnd see these articles about protection in OE 6:http://www.oeupdates.com/unsafe-attachments-blocked-outlook-express.htmlhttp://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=291387http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=329570 <If this post helps to resolve your issue, please click the "Propose as Answer" If you find it helpful , mark it as helpful by clicking on "Vote as Helpful" button at the top of this message. Thank you Alexander but too technical for me, I'm afraid. Thank you Tameem, Very helpful, Something even I can follow. Sorry to have been so long in answering, but although the option was checked I was not warned there was an answer.Alex
