Hi,When did this issue first occur? If it ever worked before, system restore could be under consideration. If you are in hibernation mode you can ONLY bring it out of hibernation via the power on button except for wake on LAN. In hibernation, power is off and the power on button must be pushed. When in sleep mode a keyboard or mouse movement will liven your computer. But, the keyboard and/or mouse must be set up to do that function. Here are the steps:Go to device manager->righte click on the mouse, properties, check the box before "allow this device to wake the computer". Repeat the steps on keyboard.Open gpedit.msc and go to Computer Configuration>Administrative Templates>System>Power Management>Sleep SettingsEnable "Turn Off Hybrid Sleep"if the issue persists, click Start Orb > type cmd in the search box > right-click cmd in results above > click Run as administrator - At the prompt type powercfg -devicquery > press enter, it tells you what devices may cause problems with sleep mode. Let us know the result. Also, update all the device drivers including chipset driver, mouse driver and display card driver. Please run Windows Update and keep the system update to date. Besides, if there is any security (anti-virus, anti-spyware) software installed, temporary disable or turn them off to check the result. In case this issue is caused by conflict wth certain software running background, troubleshoot the issue in clean boot. This method will help us determine if this issue is caused by a loading program or service. Refer to http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135===============1. Click the Start Button and type "msconfig" (without quotation marks) in the Search Box and press Enter.2. Click Continue to verify the permission.3. Select the Services tab in the open window. Check the “Hide all Microsoft Services” option and click Disable All.4. Switch to the Startup tab and click Disable All.5. Click OK to save the settings and select Restart when prompted.6. Check whether or not the issue still occurs. Note: Temporarily disabling the Startup Group only prevents the startup programs from loading at startup. This shouldn't adversely affect the system or other programs. We can still manually run these programs later.

Configure the power options to sleep after 10 minutes rather than hibernate. Please refer to:How can I prevent my computer from automatically sleeping or hibernating? Best RegardsDale
