ssd disappeared after upgrade to windows 8.1 retail version.

please help.

My ssd disappeared into oblivion after  upgrading from windows 8.1 preview into windows 8.1 retail. Does anyone know how to make it appear again? I cant find it in bios and ssd firmware update tool. It happened after it restarted, after the install after the preparing your computer for first use or something like that. I think that it had something to do with an update. Im also getting a long delay before post. my mobo is a msi z77a-g45 and using a corsair force gt ssd if that helps.

ty in advance.

It is possible that the SSD is on a RAID controller, and would not appear in the standard BIOS. Can you see it in Disk Management? Windows may consider it a foreign disk and not show it to you by default until you import it.

Hi,

According to your description, it is probably driver problem that caused this problem. As far as I know, Corsair SSD need driver support. Please check whether the driver installed.

If problem persists, I would like to suggest you to contact Sorsair support for further assistance.
