If you access Hotmail while in coffee shops through their hotspot, it's very possible your account has been compromised because someone else in on that hotspot was using firesheep and stealing your credentials. See this for more information: http://www.grc.com/sn/sn-272.pdf. If you can still log into your account, do so and change the password to something long (at least ten characters) and containing upper and lower case letters, digits, and special characters. That will kick the hijacker out.It could also be that only your mail address was hijacked, which is a frequent occurrence but doesn't not compromose your mailbox. If this less severe situation applies, then the messages to your friends should trickle off on their own. I'd still resecure the mail account, though, just to be sure.Brian Tillman [MVP-Outlook]--------------------------------https://mvp.support.microsoft.com/profile/Brian.TillmanIf a reply helps, please vote it as helpful.
