My harddrive went bad. Replace the hard drive, installed windows xp from the orginal disk. Started to install all my software. Installed printer computer rebooted. Installed more software computer started rebooting more often. Removed printer, did not solve the problem. Now computer is asking to activate xp. I did. Now it reboots every few minutes. Reinstalled xp. problem not resolved. Any ideas? bob1 person needs an answerI do too

Did you install drivers from your Laptop cd or by visiting your Laptop site, specific to your model, and NOT via MSUpdate?
