Task scheduler will not start. Unable to defrag. Help topics did not solve issue. My operating system is windows 7.

Hi fresh76, Thanks for the post! What's the error message you got when you start the task scheduler? Can you normally open the Task Scheduler? You mentioned "unable to defrag", what do you want to defrag? Is it a task you set? Please click Start, input services.msc in the search box and press Enter. Check the right pane, ensure the Task scheduler service is started. If it doesn' work, please also check your Event Viewer, any related logs there?
