the requested name is valid, but no data of the requested type was found.
I'm having a network problem with my Windows Visat 64 bit laptop. I have SQL Server 2008 and Visual Studio 2008 installed, and debug my program locally. This works if my network cable is plugged in and I'm connected to my network. Then I unplug my network cable, and debugging still works. Then I reboot (still with the network cable unplugged). Now, when I try to debug, or run a query in SQL Server against my local database, I get this error:the requested name is valid, but no data of the requested type was found. This appears to be a DNS issue. How is DNS supposed to work with the network cable unplugged? As far as I can recall, this was working a few weeks ago, but after several upgrades and installs, now I get this error when trying to run programs while unplugged.Any suggestions on how to troubleshoot this problem?Selden
