I have an instance of Windows XP running in a Virtual PC on Windows 7. When I try to go into the user accounts option in Control Panel, I get the message "The system cannot find the file specified." I can't do anything in the user control panel. Certain options will return an "Object required" message rather than the previously-mentioned message. This virtual machine worked fine when I was running it under VPC 2007 under Vista, but I think something bad happened to the VHD file when I moved it to my new Win 7 machine. Regardless, everything on the machine works fine except for the user account control panel. I'd love to be able to fix this without having to start from scratch with a new VM, but I'm starting to think I'm going to have to do that. (Or just ignore the problem, since I don't really need the user account control panel that badly...)1 person needs an answerI do too
