The Windows XP Product Key is 25 characters, which the above in your post is not. In any case, you would not want to post a valid Product Key on a public forum because it will get stolen and then you won't be able to use it!Product Keys are tied to the type of installation media used. IOW, a Product Key for an upgrade version of XP Home will not work using installation media for XP Pro Full. If you don't have the correct installation media AND Product Key for it, then you would need to purchase a copy of XP from a reputable online source such as Amazon.com or NewEgg.com.MS-MVP - Elephant Boy Computers - Don't Panic!

I'm sorry but I'm not sure what your original question has to do with your Internet issues. If this is an unrelated problem, you'd need to provide information about how you connect to the Internet, what IP addresses are in use, the malware state of the comptuers, what operating systems (and versions/Service Pack levels) are running, etc.MS-MVP - Elephant Boy Computers - Don't Panic!

the unability to connect and or run my printer due to files missing that are required is the reason that i did a re-instal. my security area on control panel was shut down due to 'files' being extractedmy anti virus was Avira and also i had IO360my IP should start with 255 but it shows 64. which is Dawson Creek, and Telus as the providermy connection is cable supplied by Link from Sask. canada

So what happened with the reinstallation? I thought you couldn't activate Windows. Or are we talking about different computers? You need to get the activation issues ironed out first. Then after you activate Windows you will need to install drivers for all your hardware. As an aside, the easiest way to share a broadband connection is with a router.MS-MVP - Elephant Boy Computers - Don't Panic!
