I accidently renamed my INF folder... Now I cant get windows to load at all it just freezes up on the repair option and booting from my vista reinstallation disk it freezes up too. So my question is can I get into windows somehow and redirect it to go to the misnamed folder? Or is there something I can dl to disk to put me back into windows to put the name back to what it should be?

A way to avoid this in the future is by running two operating systems on two seperate partitions or drives on the same computer. By logging on to a working operating system which I call the administrative system I can quickly make changes and repairs to a not working system by having full access to all of it's folders and files.For now you may try booting with the windows dvd and selecting repair my computer and opening the command prompt where you can try and access that folder and rename it with the rename command, or select system restore.
