Hi,
If you have a valid Windows Vista system, we can purchase a upgrade version Windows 7 and upgrade the system to Windows 7. However, since your system is a laptop system, it should be an OEM customized system. We cannot sure that the OEM system has no problem to upgrade. It is better to contact your laptop manufacturer for more information.
If you purchase a full version Windows 7, you could install the system on the computer.
Since the Windows Vista system is an OEM laptop system, you may not be able to install it on another desktop.
Because we have different sale policies for Windows 7 in different areas, for the licenses purchasing question, please contact your local Microsoft Customer Service.

The business vista version loaded on the laptop is a full version, not an OEM.

You can buy the upgrade version. You can do an inplace upgrade without having to backup all of your files if you buy the equivilant version of windows 7 -Busines,Ultimateetc. If you upgrade toanother edition of 7 you will back upyour data with easy transfer and do a "clean upgrade".The family three pack is only available with the purchase of Home Prermiumedition.
