I just built a pc and have not even booted it up yet so i need to buy windows 7. but when i went to the store to buy i noticed that windows 7 home said that it was a upgrade in the upper left corner of the box.....so can i use that if not having any previous OS on the computer.if andy knows please let me know thanks

Upgrade versions require that Windows XP or Windows Vista are installed on your computer before installing Windows 7. Full versions don't require a previous version of Windows to be installed on your computer. Having paid for "Full" Windows 7 Home Premium on a computer that needs Pro Or Ultimate, to be able to make use of 2 processers/8 cores because the Microsoft Windows 7 comparitave description did not say that I would be buying an incompatible OS I believe it is only fair that everyone be aware of what is possible in the installation of their purchased OS.
