Hi Rankinx Microsoft is using a new structure for this beta as opposed to previous betas. The next version of Windows 7 beta will be the Release Candidate. There has been no announcements about when this version will be available. You canreadmore complete information about what is being planned on the following official website.Engineering Windows 7: Our Next Engineering MilestoneHope this helps.Thank You for testing Windows 7 Beta Ronnie Vernon MVP

By subscribing, do you mean that you are now a paying TechNet or MSDN subscriber? If so, then you go directly to their downloads section and download pretty much anything you want. If you just signed up using your Live account, that is not the same as being a paying subscriber.

DarienHawk67,Maybe I'm missing something here too. The only version of Windows 7 currently available (to me anyway) on MSDN is build 7000. I can't find any later builds than this.John Barnett MVP: Windows XP Associate Expert: Windows Desktop Experience: Web: http://www.winuser.co.uk Web: http://xphelpandsupport.mvps.org Web: http://vistasupport.mvps.org

with all the new features added in later builds, I think its only ethical that those of us who are registered to test, find the flaws, give the feedback, have the opportunity to atleast decide if they want to tryout these newer or added fixes.MS is moving in the right direction overall, but the fan-base that has builtup around Win 7 has truly grown, heck even my 6yrs old daughter is loving it and refuse to use her XP machine.

Hi Rankinx Thanks for posting.I mentioned before that this beta was structured differently. The focus is still on Beta 1. All of the bugs, requested feature changes, new feature requests, and any other issues that are reported for this version (7000)will be the focus until every one of thesethat can be fixedis resolved. There are interim builds being used for internal testing, but these builds are not being released for general testing to avoid repetitive, duplicate bug reporting for issues that are not yet addressed. For a more complete description of this process, see the following thread.Windows 7 Unauthorized VersionsSee the following 2 articles for the list of just some of the specific changes that have been made in the upcoming Release Candidate. Some changes since Beta for the RC A few more changes from Beta to RCThank You for testing Windows 7 Beta Ronnie Vernon MVP

this reply has answered my question, thank you Ronnie. all of my softwares are working with W7 quite well including my Blender, and the games i play when im bored, love the chess titans. not to sound disgruntled but was just wondering why there were other builds, and users not suscribed to the test program were getting newer builds? seems odd but you have straightened it out in your explanation.
