will ms office be lost if upgrade to windows 7 from xp on a home built computer?
ok i have a question that no one here has answered and that i keep searching the site for ... someone is building a computer for me .. it was going to have windows 7 put on .. but they dont have windows 7 or vista only xp so i said that is fine .. i can always upgrade Question is .. : if i upgrade to windows 7, will i lose the microsoft office? or is there a way to upgrade and still have my microsoft office? because obviously i will not be receiving no reinstall discs or anything .. thank you in advance for everyone's help

If you have Windows XP installed, this qualifies you to purchase the Upgrade version of Windows 7.
However, XP does not support an Upgrade Install. You must use the Custom (Clean) Install option, which means that all of the installed software programs will be lost and you will need to reinstall all of these software programs.
